The airport, opened to service in 1987, is approximately in a distance of 20 km. to the centrum. Having one of the biggest domestic flight terminals, in 2006, it served to about 2,5 million passengers. It has a passenger capacity of 4 million people per year, and in it, there are 8 Duty Free Shops, restaurants, cafes and bars, PTT banks, buffets and rent-a-car companies. Airport parking lot has a capacity of 850 vehicles.
