Due to the risks caused by the liquid-gel goods carried by passengers, according to the European Community and UK Civil Aviation Authority Carry-on Baggage Transportation Regulations which is valid since November 6, 2006, the rules and the related Duty Free Applications are as follows:

Regulations concerning the Duty-free shopping practices at the terminal and on board:
Stores should sell products within specially stamped, transparent plastic bags. Store personnel should place the receipt or receipts detailing sales information (purchase date and place) inside the bags such that the information can be read from outside, without opening the bag. The transparent bags belonging to the store should be sealed by store personnel, and under no circumstances may the passenger open these bags until arriving to the final destination point. Passengers purchasing goods from stores that do not follow these regulations risk having the purchased items confiscated during security checks.
